Knysna Golf Club

Knysna Golf Club has often been described as one of the hidden gems on the Garden Route. Adjacent to and at the same level as the Knysna lagoon, this flattish parkland layout is the oldest course in the area by a considerable number of years. It is also one that has made excellent efforts to keep abreast of the changing demands of golf.

The challenge of playing this generally tree-lined holes, has been beefed-up with the recent upgrading of the greens, addition of new bunkers, and extension of the tidal pools to create additional water hazards. The proximity of water to many greens, on occasions almost surrounding them, ensures that on both the front and back nine loops, good course management and shot-making will be required to score well.

The surrounding hills provide a pleasantly scenic backdrop, while a wonderful array of flora and fauna will give you plenty to look out for on the course itself.

How to get to Knysna Golf Club , Knysna (South Africa)

64 km E of George. Just over 1 km from the centre of Knysna, heading east, turn off the N2 into George Rex Drive. Take the fourth turn left into Howard Street. Follow the road all the way around behind the golf course until you find the car park and clubhouse on your right.
