The jury is ‘still out’ as to whether this is a better course or indeed, a tougher course than the older “Le Chateaux” course and the argument has been ongoing since the course opened in 1991. This is woodland golf and even though ferocious storms have felled many of the trees, there are still plenty to worry about.

As with its sister course, the greens are excellent and not as undulating. The two courses together provide one of the most attractive golfing propositions in Aquitaine.

How to get to Golf Du Medoc - Les Vignes , Aquitaine (France)

17 km NW of Bordeaux
Leave the A63 (Bordeaux ring) at exit 7, and follow direction Lacanau/Le Verdon on the N215. After 3.7 km of roundabout turn right onto the D1 direction Castenau / Le Verdon. After 6.3 km turn left at roundabout and immediately right onto the Chemin de Courmateau, direction Golf du Medoc. After 1.4 km golf is on your right.
