Castletroy Golf Club is a mature parkland course which has been popular with visitors throughout the year. In 2004, the club commenced extensive work on the redevelopment of the course. The new course opened for play May 2006 and has been extremely well received by members and visitors. All tee box and green complexes have been redesigned and with the addition of fairway bunkering and water features, the course offers a challenge to golfers of all standards. Well maintained fairways demand accuracy off the tee. The long Par 5 6th hole is set into water while the Par 3 14th hole features a panoramic view from the tee with the green surrounded by water. The picturesque 18th is a stern test to finiish the gree guarded by bunkers on both sides.
